Does your child suffer from three (3) or more of these snailing habits?
1.Does your smart-child 'hear' EVERY word they read - in their head?
Teachers call it 'subvocalizing',
and it causes s-l-o-w reading and learning.
2. Does your bright-child LOSE their
place on the page and go-back again and again? Educators call it 'regressing', and it helps cause'snailing'.
3. Does your really intelligent-child
still read just one-word-at-a-time?
Principals call it 3rd grade reading
skills, and it is just too slow for college and graduate-school.
4. Does your absolutely brilliant-
child FORGET what they read -
10 minutes after they finish?
Teachers call it -
'Porous-Concentration', and it makes
great students score up to 43% lower on their SATs.
Solution? TRIPLE your child's Reading Speed and add up to 15% to their testing-scores. Just imagine the difference it will make in their school work and their having a successful career.

*Stop-Stop-Stop-Stop-Stop*
1. Do you experience these insidious five symptoms of s-l-o-w reading?
(98% of college graduates and professionals polled admitted it.)
a) Reading novels-journal-textbooks all at the same slow speed?
(Professionals call it 3rd grade eye-pattern-movements).
b) Hear every word you read silently in your mind like
listening to an internal audio?
(Professions call it - Subvocalization).
c) Read and go-back to be sure you got it,
again-and-again because you are unsure you remember it.
(Professionals call it Regressions.
d) Read so slowly that by the end, you forgot the beginning?
(Professionals call it Mnemonic-Angst).
e) Have at-least three (3) books, (4) articles and (6) reports hidden
away since Christmas waiting to be read?
(Professionals call it OCH, Obsessive-Compulsive-Hoarding).
BENEFITS
2. Would it improve your career or profession, or help you ACE school - to overcome these reading joy-killers? Do you think knowledgeable-people
get more promotions and all that filthy lucre?
SpeedBraining 101 trains you in three (3) levels of reading-difficulty:
a) Basic: used for novels and light-material like Readers Digest.
b) Semi-Tuff stuff: used for non-fiction, and many technical-articles.
c) Tuff-Stuff: used for textbooks, journals and Encyclopedia Britannica.
3. Are you aware there are three (3) styles and speeds for reading?
a) Skimming to get an overview of material and decide its relevancy for you.
b) Scanning to read for more details and to remember the key points.
c) Screening to read carefully to answer exam-questions.
4. Why should you care about analyzing - how you read?
a) Fact: The slower you read (because your 3rd grade teacher, Mrs.
Harrison, said it improves recall), the lower (up to 40%), is your comprehension of details. SpeedBraining 101 helps you ace comprehension and long-term memory 15% - See University of Wisconsin @ Green Bay textbook. www.uwgb.edu/esms/sss/read.htm
b) Fact: 50% of all the information you learned becomes obsolete
within five (5) years. (Professor Carl R. Rogers, Columbia University)
c) Fact: Information-overload causes us anxiety stress. Internet 2 is coming - (within 24 months), and will double the pool of information.
5. When you graduate SpeedBraining 101 you will have the skills to
a) Read three (3) books, articles and reports in the time it takes others
to read only one (1) today. That adds 300% to your learning-skills.
b) Add 10-15% to your three (3) levels of your comprehension .
c) Add 15% to your concentration for test-taking and learning.
d) Improve your long-term memory up to 15%.
These permanent learning skills we call it the 20 minute-hour
help you keep up with the flood of new-information, overcome stress,
ace exams, and give you the competitive-edge in your career.
6. How long does it take to learn?
Our SpeedBraining 101 course requires twelve (12) class-hours -
(two-Saturdays: 9-4pm each), plus about thirty (30) hours of home/office
strategies-practice. After the first-session youll add 75% to your
personal information-processing, with 125% to come.
7. Is there a way to make it quicker to learn-to-use SpeedBraining 101?
We have an exclusive training-tool called the RasterMaster +24 a handheld (pen-like), laser-beam pacer. It quickly exercises your
peripheral-vision to read 300% faster, with powerful concentration, and long-term memory. Speed reading becomes quick and easy to use.
*Once you get it (the strategies), the RasterMaster +24 is only used for heavy research-projects.
8. Interested in what makes us the-place-to-go - for speed reading?
a) SpeedBraining 101 is the creation of H. Bernard Wechsler, one of
founders of Evelyn Wood speed reading that program
graduated 2-million, including the staffs of four (4) U.S.
Presidents Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon and Carter.
b) SpeedBraining 101 includes the Evelyn Wood (1909-1995), speed reading system, and adds the tested-and-proven - how-to-ACE exams, Einstein Memory System, Fistnoting, and 5WH&H concentration system. SpeedBraining 101 is Evelyn Wood on-adrenaline for students, executives, and professionals.
Your new psychomotor-skills in SpeedBraining 101 are permanent, and produce personal-growth and confidence in all areas of your life.
c) SpeedBraining 101 was developed at Long Island University. NYC classes are taught at Fordham University. Live-classes are available in other U.S. cities and internationally in 2005.

WAS DALE CARNEGIE RIGHT?
Are you an expert in making friends and influencing people?
Do you know that your success as a student and at work is impacted
by applying the psychological laws of communicating in just the right way?
How much will you lose if you are
unaware of these laws that affect human nature?
"OK, but what has this to do with SpeedLearning?
Anything that makes you more effective and successful in school and career is part of SpeedLearning. If there are strategies that produce positive effects for benefits in your life - we present them for your
perusal. Use them or not - as you choose, but know that "others" may take advantage of you.
"Sounds kinda sneaky!"
Know-how is just information, how-you-use-it determines if it's sneaky.
1. Law of Association: we tend to link people with other folks, places and things we originally saw them with. If the link or association was
pleasant we like them, if painful, we dislike and avoid them.
Pepsi Cola paid Michael Jackson 30 million dollars to have him associate his popularity with the kids ...and with Pepsie!
Did it work? Sales increased by an estimated 18%. Huge!
How can you use the Law of Association?
Sure it applies to consumer sales, but it applies to you influencing others to be your study-partner or office-associate too, promotions,& raises.
Who are your friends? Is your opinion valued by your superiors? Are you a specialists in a particular area? Are you accessible and friendly with others?
Coda: The Law of Association often decides the success of your career
in school or in the marketplace. When others hold you in esteem they want to share your friendship, and influence. Do you make it a point to meet new people that can advance your career and who you can help?
The correct maxim is, "It's both WHO you know, and WHAT you know." A great part of success is people's perception of who you are,
and it is based on the Law of Association. Pair yourself with positive
stimuli, and it rubs off on your image.
2. Law of Consistency (and commitment). We have a human need to say-and-do things that confirm who we are. People must be compatible, agree with, and be in harmony with our own SELF-IMAGE
(who we tell ourselves we are), or we are in conflict and unhappy.
If we KNOW (internally), we are an honest person who respects others, we are conflicted and upset when we lie or insult others.
"So what?"
If someone has done you a small favor in the past, they will be more willing to help you in the future, even if the favor is a larger one. They want to be consistent with their past behavior. Build on relationships, and your career will profit. Networking may be time-consuming, but it will add up to 25% to your ultimate income, according to the the leading Human Resources organization.
3. "Familiarity breeds contempt!", and "Opposites attract!" are both
wrong based on psychological testing. The more we see and associate with people, the more we tend to like and trust them. No one likes to be around people who think diametrically the opposite of what we do in almost
anything. No one. We like to do business with, party, and even marry those who think and act the way we do. People who believe in the same things we do are automatically "smarter, prettier and handsomer, and nicer".
4. Law of Liking.
5. Law of Authority
6. Law of Social Proof
7. Law of Reciprocity
8. Law of Scarcity (and competition)
If you are interested in how to make friends and influence people, and the details of the aforementioned laws - and they are laws of human nature, read two authors - Dr. David J. Lieberman, and Dr. Robert Ciardini.

This review is for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY!
1. In the last quarter of 2002 DISTANCE LEARNING, OPEN UNIVERSITIES, and VIRTUAL UNIVERSITIES are a standard part of the educational landscape.
The KEY question to ask about any degree-granting program you are considering: Is the school accredited by a legitimate and legal organization? Is it approved by your State of residence?
For example - Western Governors University, is certified by twelve states, and approved by DISTANCE EDUCATION AND TRAINING COUNCIL.
WSU offers degrees and certificates based COMPLETELY on
COMPETENCIES - not sitting in classrooms. They claim a "real time"continuous learning platform."

1. Have you ever found yourself RE-reading the same paragraph, sentence or worda half-dozen times because nothing is coming through?
2. No, you didn't fall into a coma - nor is it the onset of the dreaded Alzheimer's. What is happening is Reading-Hypnosis, caused because you are too-smart, and reading way too-slowly for your brain to CONCENTRATE.
3. Result? The Sominex-Effect, reading without comprehen-
tion.
4. Do you suffer from Data-Asphyxiation, Information-Fatigue,
and Knowledge-Overloadtoo much daily material to
keep up with?
5. Did you know that almost half of all students drop-out, and
never graduate because they cannot keep up with their
reading assignments? Would SpeedLearning help kids to ACE their SATs? LSAT? LAW SCHOOL, and the BAR EXAM?
6. Does it make sense that the majority of executives and
professionals, including teachers, find it impossible to
read, learn and remember all the NEW materials in their
field? Would SpeedLearning be a valuable tool for raises
and promotions?
7. What are the THREE profound secrets of SpeedLearning?
a) Your eyes instinctively follow-a-moving object.
We promise to show you how to use this instinct to triple your reading speed, and seriously improve your comprehension, concentration and long-term memory.
b) You are born with peripheral vision (side-viewing), and
it can increase your Information Processing 300% with
strategic practice. We call it the "20 minute hour", and it
improves your "eye-pattern-movements", and give you
control over your "field-of-vision". More later.
c) These improvements are easy-to-learn, and are permanent. It requires just 21 days of practice
to create your SpeedLearning academic skills. You'll read three books, articles or reports in the time you now spend to read one, or learn it in one-third the time it takes your friends.
Your choice: learn 300% more, or read it in 30% of the time.
Is that a valuable skill for our Knowledge-Economy?
Yes, it works on both print and the Internet.
8. Let's get to the guts of how to become a SpeedLearner.
"It's not what you don't know that hurts you, it's what
you do know - that-aint-so!" said Will Rogers.
"You must get your brain to pay attention,
before you can replace a bad habit with a good one."
Remember you have gotten along pretty good so far,
snailing-along ever since Mrs. Harrison taught you to read in the first-grade. We must convince your practical mind
why you should ditch something that works.
Why?
Because your brain has a core belief - "don't fix what
aint broken".
Some say, "Learning is NOT compulsory", but neither
is survival. They are both conscious choices!"
9. Let's offer some tangible benefits to your skeptical,
cynical, and often sarcastic mind.
a) We guarantee unconditionally that you will TRIPLE your
reading speed in textbooks, newspapers and journals.
b) Your comprehension will be at least as good as it is now,
or 10% better using your RasterMaster as a pacer.
c). Your concentration will easily improve 15%, and the
Sominex Effect will disappear permanently.
d) Your long-term memory will soar 20% using our
"Einstein Memory System".
10. Talk-is-cheap, is SpeedLearning practical in school and
at work?
The roots of SpeedLearning are based on the internationally famous Evelyn Wood Speed Reading* program. We helped graduate two-million kids and adults, including Presidents Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon and Carter.
SpeedLearning Institute is affiliated with Long Island University, 8th largest college in the U.S. LIU issues a
Certificate of Completion to our graduates.
11. SpeedLearning 100 is easy-to-learn and permanent:
a) Many of you are familiar with the LEFT and RIGHT brain
scientific research. Not just a theory - in 1981, Roger W.
Sperry, professor at California Institute of Technology,
was awarded the NOBEL PRIZE in Physiology for research
over twenty-years that proved the "functional
specialization of our cerebral hemispheres".
b) Here's the point: what Mrs. Harrison taught you in the
first-grade, and the way you still read books and the
Internet today, was ONE-WORD-AT-A-TIME. That system is
LEFT-BRAIN Information-Processing. It works, but is pain-
fully s-l-o-w and unsuitable for our 21st century internet
knowledge-based economy. It is costing you time-and-
money.
c) SpeedLearning 100 is a RIGHT-BRAIN program of
information scanning, and is based on Pattern-Recognition.
It is light-years faster and more effective. "Snailing" is the
old way, and it worked great in pre-Internet years.
SpeedLearning is created for our Knowledge-Economy,
with its flood of daily data, drowning us in "Information
- Overload" in school and at work.
Which would suit you better - reading one-word-at-a-time, or
reading, understanding and remembering at least THREE-words at each "eye-fixation-pause"?
12. SpeedLearning is not a lecture course, it's interactive
sessions putting you in the driver's seat from the first hour.
You start using the new strategies immediately until it
forms a habit, like typing, riding a bike or driving your car.
13. For your SpeedLearning skills to be permanent, you need just 21 days to internalize our ten-tested strategies. From the 22nd day, you are an expert speedreader.
14. What is the RasterMaster?
Shaped in the form of a "pen", and as comfortable to use, your RasterMaster is a patented neon-helium laser-pointer;
it creates a beam of light over each sentence to act as a pacer for your eyes. How fast you read is based on your comfort zone, there is no competition. You'll master all three levels of learning: Basic, Semi-Tuff, and Tuff-Stuff. Your RasterMaster is your training-wheels to "optimize" your eye-pattern-movements, and field-of-vision by permanently adding 300% to your learning arsenal.
Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus, and after your genius
is fully developed, your laser instrument will be
packed away.

15. "Time-is-Money", and Learning-is-Earning, are facts of life.
Let's visualize some facts about reading speed and comprehension. First, there are three levels of reading difficulty: the easiest is BASIC, also called Reader's Digest
style. Second, is SEMI-TUFF, which is harder, using multi-
syllable words and professional jargon to confuse
us. A good example is textbooks. Third, is TUFF-STUFF,
which reaches"critical-mass" in difficulty. Consider articles
in Encyclopedia Britannica, Law Journals or Scientific
American.
16. Now let's focus on "rate-of-speed", and meaning.
a) The average college graduate, based on national research, reads BASIC material at 250 words per minute, with 72% comprehension - more later.
e) The same college graduate reads SEMI-TUFF books,
articles, and reports at 150 words per minute, with test
scores of 62%. Notice the drop in both speed and comp.
f) Now for TUFF-STUFF, watch what happens: Mr. or Ms
university-graduate freaks-out, and their reading speed
falls to only 100 words-per-minute, and comprehension to a lousy 51%.
Conclusion: the harder the reading, the slower we absorb. Can you hear your first-grade teacher saying,
"If you want to learn and remember - read slowly!"
17. Just a bit more to make it crystal-clear that slowing-down for better comprehension is a guarantee of snailing, not better learning and recall.
18. In national testing over the past thirty-years, 3rd grade kids stop to read each word of a sentence on average of 173 times for each one-hundred words they cover. That is
almost-twice for each word on the page. They regress because they did not get the meaning the first time.
19. Now, what happens when we test college graduates? They
stop 75 times for each one-hundred words they scan.
Big improvement, right? Consider this: let's forget the
tiny-words like "as", "the", "and" and such. The average
educated adult stops at each multi-syllable word to examine
it like a rare emerald. That is what 75 stops - (eye-fixation-
pauses), means. Add this - when the material gets harder,
we go even slower. We "regress", stare at the sentence, and
go back and try again to make a mental connection.
20. Is this the way it must be? It cannot be that bad, they passed the SATs, graduated college, and even professional school snailing-along. Wait! Imagine driving from California to New York at 30 miles-an-hour. You absolutely can do it, but you will require psychiatric help when you arrive.
21. There MUST be a better way!
It is called SpeedLearning, where you read each-and-every-word, no skimming, but you absorb at least three multi-syllable words with each eye-fixation-pause.
22. If you discover nothing else, you will permanently read,
learn and remember 300% faster with equal or better
comprehension. You'll learn to release the skills that you always had, but were taught not to use. You'll read holistically, use both your left-brain, and the power of your Right-Brain to use pattern-recognition. That means you will comfortably read three books, articles or reports in the time
you now read one. We call it your "20 minute-hour".
23. How?
There are six fancy elements that only professors care about:
a) our eyes follow a moving object.
b) optic chiasma
c) persistence of vision and hearing
d) transparency of language
e) neo-neural plasticity
f) mach 1
When we have our car repaired, do we want a lecture
from the auto mechanic on the technology or just have
the job done well?
You can come away reading 300% faster, with a 20%
improved memory, 15% better concentration and about
10% advanced comprehension. All this without learning
about these six elements of learning.
If you are writing a paper on SpeedLearning, we'll explain
them in detail so you can bore other people with our
scientific jargon. Our mission is to give you the skills, not
a lecture. Wouldn't it be great to go to school or work and
have the competitive edge to ACE what you choose to
learn?
24. Which of the SIX is the most important?
"Our eyes follow a moving object". It means we have an
instinct to improve our learning skills, but it takes practice.
Here it comes: It consists of "peripheral-vision" (left and right side), and the skill to use "pattern-recognition" to scan each sentence by taking-in more words with each
"gulp" - eye fixation pause.
with understanding.
25. "If it's so easy, how come we have never been taught to
read that way?"
Teachers were taught to scan one-word-at-a-time, and that is what they teach their students. Who said learning was supposed to be easy?
Most of us are terrified by things that are new and different; we want to leave well enough alone. Change is threatening. Students have been reading slowly (snailing) since George
Washington was a boy. Why change now?
26. "Well, why change something that works, and "aint
broken?"
The Information Age, the Knowledge Revolution, the Internet and Computer Age produce one-hundred times
more data than a generation ago. Should we keep up with
the competition, our field, the marketplace, and new reseach? It is broken! Creativity requires greater knowledge. "Times change, and we change with them -
or else!"
27. "What else does SpeedLearning 100 offer?"
Three styles of memory improvement; two types of note-taking, and adding a 1,000 words to your vocabulary.
28. "Are they mostly lectures?"
You are actively engaged - self-teaching from the first minute. We do tell you why, but we concentrate on how!
Our goals are simple: you must increase your reading
speed 300%, add 20% to your long-term memory, improve
your concentration 15%, and come away with a 10%
increase in your comprehension. Its easy, creative, and
extremely doable in 21 hours of practice. The changes will
be permanent, and guaranteed to satisfy you.
It comes down to two things: choose to absorb 300% more
in an hour, or learn in only 30% of the time. That's your
"20 minute hour". Wanna play?
29. "Self-education is the only kind of education there is.
The only function of a school is to make self-education
easier, failing that, it does nothing." Issac Asimov.
